Day 1 · Arrival in Cairo

Arrive in Cairo, check in to your hotel, and settle in before an evening welcome dinner on a Nile Dinner Cruise — a relaxed first night with views of the city along the river.

Day 2 · Giza Pyramids & Grand Egyptian Museum

The day most people book the trip for: the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, followed by the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), home to the most complete collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts anywhere, including Tutankhamun's treasures.

Day 3 · Islamic Cairo & Khan el-Khalili

A shift from ancient to medieval Cairo — the Citadel of Saladin, and the Khan el-Khalili bazaar, one of the oldest marketplaces in the Middle East, good for spices, lanterns, and souvenirs.

Day 4 · Coptic Cairo & Free Time

A visit to Coptic Cairo's historic churches, followed by free time for optional add-ons — many travelers use this slot for an optional day trip or extra shopping before departure.

Day 5 · Departure

Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.

Planning Tips

• Best time to visit: October to April has the most comfortable weather for sightseeing — summer (June–August) is very hot, especially around the pyramids with little shade.
• Pace: 5 days is enough for Cairo and Giza specifically. If you want Luxor, Aswan, or the Nile cruise south of Cairo, that's a longer trip — let us know if you'd like us to build a custom extension.
